Foodie Finds

Last week while I was cooking, I decided I need to showcase some of my favorite gadgets! As I was compiling the list, my mind began to wander. I came up with another list. My *wish* list!

*Wish* List!

~Who wouldn't want a cupcake stand to display the deliciousness? Added bonus...it can be used to display other things, candy, chocolates, mini quiches etc. Or you can get super creative and hang names or jewelry on it.~
~ Man do I want one of these. I've made two recipes (here and here) so far where a double boiler could have come in handy.~

~Can you imagine the tasty things that come out of a crock-pot? It really makes things easier!~
~ I had one of these back in the day. Wish I knew where it went. They work wonders. Nothing ever sticks to them!!~

~You gotta put some muscle into these but you can create some delicious and unique pastes or some brilliant guacamole!~
~I just think these can come in handy when I don't need a whole onion.~
~Really helps when you're trying to juice a citrus fruit.~
~ I get really annoyed when I flip something and it breaks on me because my spatula wasn't long enough. This spatula works especially well on fish!~
~The reason there's no price next to this one is because its WAY out of my budget. (Over $500) But I've mentioned it here and it really does magical things.~

The following are some of my favorite gadgets that I use very frequently. They come handy in the kitchen and have been my staples for a while.

Must Haves!!

~I have the old school version of this guy, but it really helps for dressings, soups, and smoothies! Easy clean up too!~
~The smaller garlic is chopped the more flavor and essential oils it lets out. So imagine crushing it into a paste through one of these...GREAT FLAVOR/ no stinky fingers. ~
~I've used this so many times I won't even include links to those posts. Anytime I need a zest of anything these are my favorite. Any other brand SUCKS. Just kidding ;)~
~ Mentioned these in my last post, Jesse got them for me and I haven't stopped using them since! ~
~ This is my favorite knife in the world. Seriously, when it's nice and sharpened this thing can make cutting tons of vegetables fun!~
~Oh how I love Le Creuset, if only it wasn't so expensive. This thing is great when I don't want to clean the stove top grill or bbq outside! Plus it can also go in the oven!~

Sorry this week was not a meal or food, but without these things cooking wouldn't be as enjoyable! :)

Until next week!

  1. Hey Nicole!! Great List! I love your blog, girl! Great job! Anyway, you mentioned Le Crueset and I am in love too minus the INSANE price tag. I was reading cooking blogs the other day and found that Wal-mart carries a few brands which make products exactly like Le Crueset except wayyyyy less expensive. The reviews are great! Just thought I would share!! http://www.walmart.com/ip/Lodge-Color-Enamel-and-Cast-Iron-6-qt.-Dutch-Oven-Red/5716695?findingMethod=rr
